Aerosur

AeroSur transports more than 90% of passengers in Bolivia and continues to expand its international presence with new routes. A Bolivian company, providing 14 years of quality service to travelers both in the sky and on the ground, it is the country’s distinguished flag carrier.

AeroSur 14 Years of Service in Bolivia

aerosur Aerosur S.A. was created on April 1992 as a regional carrier from the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Its inaugural flight was to “La Villa Imperial”, Potosi in an airliner Bimotor Metro, on 24th of August that same year itself.

At present, AeroSur operates flights in cities and towns with various domestic destinations to La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Sucre, Tarija, Cobija, and Puerto Suarez.

AeroSur’s international flights were carried out to Buenos Aires, San Pablo, Madrid, Miami and soon new destinations were added like: Lima, Caracas, Asuncion, Santiago de Chile, La Habana & Mexico.

Quality of service

The presence of AeroSur marked a milestone of excellence in the national airline market because it was the first airline to offer the service “Executive Class” on board the English aircraft BAE 146. The quality of service quickly grew and it became the preferred choice for all users.

National flag carrier

aerosur In 1998, AeroSur was designated the National Carrier of Bolivia through Supreme Court Decree No. 25257 to run bilateral & multilateral international flights.

In July 2002, the national carrier was certified as regular Grand Operator for national & international passengers, cargo & post, through the Director General of the Civil Aviation.
