Places to See
Probably the best things about Denmark are its many long and white beaches and charming villages. One of the world's longest bridges, the 16 km long bridge between Denmark and Sweden can be seen not far from Copenhagen.
Copenhagen
Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark is Scandinavia's most fantastic city, and part of the most dynamic region in Northern Europe, the Øresund Region. The city is one of Europe's oldest and most wonderful capitals with a royal touch.
Copenhagen has a friendly but yet continental and international atmosphere that makes it easy to feel at home even for a first-time visitor. In this city you always find something for every taste.
It offers numerous museums, galleries, and the world famous Tivoli Gardens (the park offers ballet and pantomime, rides and shooting galleries, restaurants, circus acts, concerts, and fireworks displays).
The best time to explore Copenhagen is in the summer time when the nights are light and long.
Be sure to visit the National Gallery to see its collection of Danish and European art, the Viking Ship Museum and the Kronborg (the castle from Shakespeare's Hamlet).
Odense
Odense is known as the city of birth of the world famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen. A visit to the magnificent Hans Christian Andersen Museum is almost inevitable, but the city has much more to offer.
Odense has a strong focus on culture, business, and a vibrant student life, which brings a pleasant atmosphere to the city. Enjoy your time by visiting one of the numerous cafés and restaurants, take a stroll down the picturesque streets of the city centre and go shopping. You can also visit one of the many museums, theatres or listen to live music.
Arhus
Århus is Jutland's largest and most vibrant city. It is known for its nightlife. Århus is a good place to surface when you have had enough of the countryside.
Be sure to visit the Student Quarter and its New Art Museum.
In Århus is also Denmark's National Open Air Museum of Urban History and Culture.
