Slovenia is the country in Central Europe which has been blessed with incredible natural beauty and has welded a great number of outside influences - from Roman and Venetian to Germanic and Hungarian - onto its Slavic core. The place abounds we can see the stunning Julian Alps, the beautiful but busy Lake Bled and the more relaxed Lake Bohinj, the karst caves of Postojna. Around half of the countryis covered by forests; the third most forested country in Europe, after Finland and Sweden.
Slovenia is a member of the European Union, the Euro zone, the Schengen area, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Council of Europe and NATO.
Slovenia's most famous valley, the Soča, you can escape from all the stresses and strains of modern living.
