Thailand is true to its tag line “Amazing Thailand”. I have previously lived in Thailand for 7 years and was based in both Bangkok & Pattaya. My only regret was that during that time, I did not get a chance to travel around Thailand as I had wanted to though I made weekend trips to my favorite small island just 2 hours from Pattaya called Koh Samet. Thailand was then a base for my work and due to the nature of the jobs I held back then - I was in the Record & Music Industry and then moved on to the Hotel business - I was traveling from Thailand to various places all over the world. But nothing's lost since although now that I live in Prague, I have also represented the Thailand tourist board for 5 years in the past and now, Art of Travel has its own office in Phuket so I have managed to finally travel around Thailand quite extensively especially to key destinations like Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Lanta, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Koh Chang, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Cha Am and of course Bangkok often bringing agents on educational trips. Art of Travel is also privileged to represent some of the best hotels & resorts in its class around Thailand from Bangkok Palace Hotel, Cholchan Pattaya, Krabi Maritime Park & Spa and it’s new exclusive sister resort the Island Beach Club to Chaweng Regent & its new 5 Star sister, Melati Resort & Spa to the Chaba Group, Samui Palm Beach or Andaman Seaview & the pioneering Rose Garden Riverside Resort. In addition, we are the Bangkok Airways General Sales Agent in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary so it has also allowed me to enjoy the many interesting routes it flies to both domestically and internationally to and from Thailand to destinations like Hong Kong, China, Cambodia or Vietnam. Needless to say, every visit brings back to me feelings of Thailand being home – especially Phuket now but also still Bangkok & Pattaya every time I visit. And every visit is always unique and I still make new discoveries every time. So if you’ve been to Thailand, why don’t you also share your experiences? I would be glad to share in your discussion and I’m sure countless others too who visit the Art of Travel website and this could only benefit our friends from all over the world and even colleagues in our industry and our esteemed clients alike.
