Great Wall Badaling Section and Ming Tombs – Full Day (duration 10 hours)
- Your tour guide will pick you up at 7:30 – 8:00AM. After 2 hours driving, your will arrive at today’s first stop Ming Tombs. It is the largest imperial tomb in the world, thirteen Ming Emperors were buried in this royal necropolis, including Empresses and many concubines. You will visit the Changling Tomb, the biggest mausoleum. It was built for the Emperor Yongle, Zhu Di, and took 18 years to complete.
- Zhu Di was the Emperor who built the Forbidden City. Changling Tomb is surrounded by sixteen satellite tombs for Zhu Di`s concubines, and the tumulus has not yet been excavated. (Sightseeing for 1 hour) Then, you will have lunch at Jade Carving Artistic Center. You also have chance to learn information of China jade. In the afternoon, you will go to the Badaling Great Wall. (Driving time about 40 minutes) Badaling Great Wall is the best preserved section of the Great Wall providing amazing, fantastic and breath-taking vistas.
- Known for its completeness and imposing structures, it is the earliest part of the Great Wall open to tourists. (Sightseeing for about 2 hours) On your way back to downtown Beijing, there is a Chinese silk store. You could buy some souvenirs. (About 30 minutes) Around 6PM, your tour guide will drop you off at your hotel.
